Diane von Furstenberg teams up with Target
The fashion legend and Own It author creates annual spring limited time offer
“I created a little dress, a wrap dress to be precise. Because it was a pretty, practical, sexy little dress, it became very popular and gave confidence to millions of women. I know I made the dress, but truly the dress made me! It gave me freedom, independence, identity, and confidence.” So says Diane von Furstenberg in the intro to her advice book Own It: The Secret To Life.
That dress may have been but a dream to many women, but, in its fiftieth anniversary year, an affordable version will be made available in Target’s annual spring “Limited Time Offer” which this year has been created by Diane von Furstenberg.
The ‘DVF Collection’ will feature more than 200 original new products spanning homeware, apparel, kitchenware, and stationary, with most items under $50.
The Target version of the signature wrap dress will be included in the assortment, alongside Diane von Furstenberg’s book Own It: The Secret To Life.
Inspired by nature, women and art, Diane von Furstenberg for Target is a classically wearable collection that includes over 200 items featuring some of von Furstenberg’s favourite archival prints, as well as new patterns and pieces exclusive to Target.
The collection will also offer made-to-order furniture like headboards, benches and room dividers that can be customized in one of seven exclusive Diane von Furstenberg for Target fabrics.
Also new for Target's limited-time only collaborations, the collection will offer made-to-order furniture starting at $300.
The Diane von Furstenberg for Target collection is a collaboration between the iconic fashion designer and her granddaughter, designer, entrepreneur, philanthropist and co-chairwoman of the Diane von Furstenberg brand, Talita von Furstenberg, and will be available to shop beginning Saturday, March 23, on Target.com and in most Target stores, while supplies last.
