A reset for the digital clock
Czech design group Kibardindesign's White and White Clock is a 3D version of the traditional digital clock
Czech product design has had a strong track record since well before the Velvet Revolution. But this Prague design group, Kibardindesign, was founded by Russian-born Vadim Kibardin, who’s been based in the Czech capital since 2005. The group’s latest offering is the White & White Clock, a modern 3D version of a traditional digital clock face. The idea is that its seven-segment display digits are wall or table-mounted rather than plonked on an LCD screen. A light-sensitive sensor means that the time shines less brightly in darker surroundings and brighter in lighter ones. Sleek and pleasingly retro. We also like the fact that it sells for a typographically pleasing $222.
